The expandable rubber drum mechanism accepts sleeves matched to tube bore diameters from 15mm to 60mm, expanding to grip the sleeve firmly against the interior wall when the trigger engages and releasing instantly for repositioning when released — a critical feature for sanding internal welds in handrail tube assembly or removing mill scale from the bore of structural tube.

A separate external sanding attachment converts the same 18V brushless motor platform to flat-surface or curved-exterior sanding using conventional abrasive belts, giving fabricators both internal bore preparation and external surface finishing from a single tool investment.
